Welcome to missioteca.org. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and online giving platform, which supports our initiatives: Proclama, WordUp, AguaGuate, and Arise. By using our site or making a donation, you agree to these Terms.

1.About Missioteca

Chosen People International (operating as Missioteca), a Christian nonprofit organization registered in Alabama, is dedicated to eliminating theological famine and ending water scarcity in Latin America and the Caribbean. Donations made through our site are legally processed under Chosen People International, with tax identification number 47-2689085.

2.Use of the Site

By using missioteca.org, you agree to:

  • •  Use the site only for lawful purposes.
  • •  Not attempt unauthorized access to any part of the site or our systems.
  • •  Provide truthful and up-to-date information when making a donation or contacting us.

3.Donations

  • •  All donations are voluntary and, except in the case of a clear processing error, are non-refundable. If you believe an error occurred with your donation, please contact us and we will review it.
  • •  Donations are processed by Funraise, our external payment provider, who complies with PCI-DSS standards and protects your information via SSL/TLS encryption. Your payment information is also governed by Funraise's terms and privacy policy.
  • •  Missioteca reserves the right to allocate undesignated donations to the fund of greatest need, unless you indicated a specific designation at the time of donating.
  • •  Your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Tax receipts are issued in accordance with applicable law.

4.Communications and Text Messages

If you agree to receive email or SMS communications from Missioteca, you do so voluntarily and may cancel at any time — by email via the unsubscribe link, or by SMS by replying STOP. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of donating.

5.Minors

Our donation services are intended for adults. Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6.Intellectual Property

All content on missioteca.org is the property of Missioteca or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

7.Third-Party Links

Our site may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those external sites.

8.Limitation of Liability

Missioteca makes its best effort to keep the site available and functioning properly, but does not guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, Missioteca will not be liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site.
